Jose Mourinho to be appointed Man Utd boss: Senior figures decide to sack Louis van Gaal.

LOUIS VAN GAAL will be sacked by Manchester United even if he wins the FA Cup - with Jose Mourinho to be appointed as his successor.

And Van Gaal could be ready to agree to his departure, if United can strike a deal to settle the pay-out on his £6million-a-season contract which has another year to run.

It is added that Van Gaal's strict tactical drills, over-reliance on video analysis and authoritarian approach has upset the United dressing room.

Mourinho, sacked by Chelsea in December, is desperate to replace Van Gaal and has been pushing for the job.
